what is reyong and what is it used for?

Thailand Tourism : Rayong Beach, Koh Samet Island, Mae Phim Cape, Poet Sunthon Phu , Khao Chamao

Rayong An economic province of Thailand, the land of a greatest poet, Sunthon Phu. Delicious fruits, progressive industries, mouth-watering fish sauce, beautiful Samet Island, celebrated poet Sunthon Phu
Rayong is a famous province on Thailand's Eastern Seaboard with a long coast of about 100 km. It used to be know as a 3-prong economic province comprising agriculture, Thailand tourism and industry ; but now the industrial sector has been advancing so rapidly that it's only single-prong economy. It's currently the main industrial province of the Eastern Seaboard development project, which is vital to the development of  the national economy as a whole, and also an important seaside tourist province. The per-capital income here is the highlight in Thailand, and its gross provincial product is the third largest. On the administration side, it's made up of 8 districts: Mueang, Klaeng, Ban Khai, Ban Chang, Pluak Daeng, Wang Chan, Khao Chamao and Nikhom Phatthana.

Under the Eastern Seaboard development project, Rayong plays an indispensable role as a fresh center of advancement, a standard center of technological studies and researches and a major export gateway, It is thus a high-potential province in terms of industrial investments, which has been expending by leaps and bounds. There are a total of 8 industrial estates and 1 industrial port developed by I-EA-T and operated jointly with the private sector in the province. These occupy a total land area of 15,305 acre, involve investments totaling about 1 trillion baht and house some 400 entrepreneurs employing around 50,000 persons

what companies make up the 500

Daily Market Report – 30/01/2012

U.S. Wrap:

·         US stocks fell on Friday night (DOW down 74 points),  as weaker than expected GDP figures, overshadowed strong consumer sentiment numbers.

Economic Growth

·         The government last week reported the economy grew at a 2.8 percent annual pace in the fourth quarter after a 1.8 percent gain in the prior three months. The growth rate excluding a jump in inventories was 0.8 percent, the report showed.

·         Consumer spending rose at a 2 percent pace last quarter, less than the median forecast of economists surveyed. Household purchases climbed 2.2 percent in 2011 after an increase of 2 percent in 2010, the weakest two-year performance of any expansion since the end of World War II.

·         A report from the Institute for Supply Management on Feb. 1 will show its factory index rose to 54.5 this month, the highest since June, from 53.9 in December. Two days later, a report from the Commerce Department may show factory orders increased 1.5 percent in December after a 1.8 percent gain the prior month, according to the estimates of economists surveyed.

Service Industries

·         Another survey from the Tempe, Arizona-based ISM on Feb. 3 may show a gauge of non-manufacturing companies, which make up almost 90 percent of the economy, rose to 53.2 this month, the highest since August, from 52.6 in December, according to economists' estimates. For both the ISM gauges, measures greater than 50 signal growth.

·         Consumer confidence has also picked up. The Conference Board (CONCCONF)'s sentiment index rose to 68 in January from 64.5 the prior month, according to economists' estimates before the Jan. 31 report. That would be the highest level since February.

·         Consumer purchases rose 0.1 percent in December for a third consecutive month, economists estimated the Commerce Department will report tomorrow. Incomes rose 0.4 percent after a 0.1 percent gain in November, the survey showed.

·         Home prices continue to fall as housing remains a weak link in the recovery. The S&P Case-Shiller (SPCS20Y%) index of prices in 20 cities fell 3.3 percent in November from a year earlier, compared with a 3.4 percent decline in the 12 months ended in October, economists forecast the group will say on Jan. 31.

where did plains indians live

A Woodsrunner's Diary: Pioneer Handbooks:

Very good. Basically a lot of short videos demonstrating different aspects relating to historical skills, primitive, and pertinent to survivalism. Only $12. You'll spend more at a fast food joint.

Glad I got it. Good to see the lad in action. Good to see the demos. Especially the fire making. And the cord demo cleared up some stuff for me. But there's more than that and a lot of 'aha' moments for me. If you haven't looked into this approach before, check out his blogs and youtubes.

Well done is all i can say not in to the hole primitive thing but watched it 2 times and even the wife watched.

Arrived today. Nice set of skills demonstrated. Liked the minimalist knapsack.

Got mine yesterday, just finished watching. Good stuff Keith. Keep up the good work.

who made teotihuacan

surface extension: Teotihuacan, December 20

I got the subway, early, to the bus station, got on the right bus, and set off early to get to Teotihuacan with my picnic lunch of delicious fragrant guayabas. The ride went through the residential and exurbs of Mexico city giving way to scraffy countryside surrounded by worn volcanoes and dry fields spotted with opuntias. We also passed fields of cultivated opuntias in rows, grown for nopales and dried shocks of corn: it is the dry season and has not rained for some months..
Soon we pulled into the parking lot and walked through a museum and ran a gauntlet of souvenir shops to the avenue of the dead.
This place reminds me of the Forbidden City in that it is a huge gathering of administrative and religious buildings, the seat of empire, built around a corridor form; this one is two kilometers long and in Beijing is one; and of course the Forbidden City is not as old.

Five Good Habits for a Healthy Life

Five Good Habits for a Healthy LifeBestWongel.com

Experiencing a healthy and long life requires several things, including a diet rich in fruits and vegetables, adequate sleep each night, exercise, plenty of water, and eliminating any bad habits that can cause disease, such as smoking and overeating.

Foods

The truth is that many foods that are very rich in vitamins that your body needs everyday are available for your consumption on the go. And with some minor changes, even your fast foods can be healthy choices when you're considering vitamins. With all that is available today, there is no excuse not to eat healthy.

Make or keep a wide variety of healthy foods ready at home to be eaten as snacks. Try to eat as many whole foods as you can as opposed to processed foods.

Dev Update 2: Fluids, Part 2

Another week and another update! It was a bit more difficult to stay motivated this week, and I've tried to figure out why that was. The two causes I've come up with was the fact that it was my second week working on the same game system (a little less exciting), and that two annoying glitches took up a lot of the development time. Despite this I managed to complete pretty much everything that was on my list at the start of the week, so I'd still consider it a success.

Wrapping Up Loose Ends

For those of you who are aware of my difficulties with infinite acid mentioned in last week's post, I'm happy to report that Multiply Infinitely has been vanquished! I spent a good chunk of time going over the code I had written last week to figure out what exactly was causing the issue. I deduced that it was triggered when lava was dropped into a pool of acid and water, but later found that it was possible for the acid to become infinite when water was dropped into it as well (only saw this happened once, it was impossible to reproduce after that). What's worse is that my code looked flawless. My frustration with it reached a boiling point so I decided to work on some of the new stuff that was planned for this week, and thankfully decided to add liquids to the pressure calculation done for the tile stability.

To my surprise, this had stopped working completely for some reason. After a bit more debugging I found that some of the pressure values were being set to 255. For the programmers among us, you've probably realized what the issue was. Without thinking I had changed the data type to bytes, which can hold a number from 0 to 255. You'll notice that I didn't list any negative values. When a byte becomes a negative, it automatically wraps around back to its max, which is 255.

While this still didn't tell me exactly why the value for acid was turning into a negative (they're only supposed to be have a value of 0-8), it did let me move on to the next items on my list: reactions between fluids.

Scientific-ish Reactions

The fluid system I implemented last week was just the first step of what I was trying to achieve with them. While they did add a little hint of life to the game, they didn't really do much beyond move around. This was fun to watch (for me at least), but there was nothing there that would force the player to stay on their tows as they moved around the world. With that in mind it was time to create as many ways for fluids to interact with each other and the environment as possible. What I completed was a good start, but something I'd still like to expand as the game progresses in development.

Below is a list of the different interactions/reactions that are in the game as of this week. The elements that get combined are listed at the beginning, with those at the end being the result of the reaction. It's actually how I have them listed in the code as well; there's something about programming that makes you want to turn everything into math. The 6 liquids currently in the game are: mud, lava, lava rock, water, ice, and acid. You'll notice that three of those are generally considered solids, but because they are not the size of a full tile and need to be able to move around (even if minimally), they use the same system as liquids do.

what is it master plan?

Master plan for coastal restoration gives hope: Bob Marshall

We need to discuss two words today: Hope and courage. In almost 40 years of covering the state's coastal crisis, "hope" is a word I've seldom been able to write. There were decades when the state refused to even acknowledge we had problem. There were political leaders who refused to address the forces responsible. And there was a population that refused to get involved. So it was little wonder during that time the Gulf of Mexico moved within eye-shot of our major cities, or that the groundwork was laid for a disaster named Katrina.

But last week, finally, we got hope. It's called "Louisiana's Comprehensive Master Plan for a Sustainable Coast" -- aka the 2012 Master Plan. It's a $50 billion blueprint for keeping our starving, sinking deltas livable in 50 years.

The plan is available on the Office of Coastal Protection and Restoration website. It's required reading if you work or play here. You'll find hope in its 165 pages for the following reasons: It draws a long needed "line in the marsh," proposing what we will try to save, try to rebuild and what we must let go.

The importance of that one accomplishment cannot be overstated. As author and levee authority member John Barry has pointed out, the biggest obstacle to solving our problems was never engineering, but politics. Not necessarily the Washington kind, but the local politics of competing interest groups.

where did karl scheele discover chlorine?

Who Discovered Chlorine?

Chlorine is a widely used element in many facets of human life. For one thing, it is used to make drinking water safe. A lot of the common things we use today are produced with the help of this element. Examples of which are textiles, dyestuffs, medicines, petroleum products, paint, foodstuffs, solvents, and paper. It is also used to manufacture compounds such as chloroform, bromine, and carbon tetrachloride. Carl Wilhelm Scheele is credited for having discovered chlorine.

Grasslands: A global conservation priority

For the average person who is perhaps not so well read in conservation/ecology they would be forgiven for wondering why grasslands? Just a general survey of my neighbours finds many are aware of rainforests as biodiversity hotspots, but when I mention temperate grasslands as also being of great importance the usual response is a complete lack of knowledge as to why.I intend with this brief article to give you, the reader, a grasp of the importance of grasslands and why they are a global conservation priority.

To clarify when I use the term grasslands in this article I am referring to temperate grassland which is a biome (A large naturally occurring community of flora and fauna occupying a major habitat) whose predominant vegetation consists of grasses and/ or shrubs where the climate is temperate and semi-arid to semi-humid.

Chandra Greer interviews the small but mighty Dude and Chick « Felt & Wire

Felt & Wire begins the new year with the first in a series of monthly conversations with up and coming stationery designers that, while tiny in size, are titanic in talent. Our interviews will be hosted by the insightful Chandra Greer, owner of Greer, an independent stationery shop and website with a longstanding commitment to seeking out and supporting independent designers. First-up are John Gurtin and Katie Wilson, the charming, clever and whip-smart duo that is Dude and Chick of St. Paul, Minn. Of their work, Chandra says, "I love the ironic juxtaposition of DNC's perfect, letterpress-printed craftsmanship with their wacky sensibility. We like wacky, especially when it's pressed into nice paper."

[Chandra] If you weren't designing greeting cards how would you be occupying yourselves?
[Katie] John would probably make a full time career out of scouring antique stores for cool stuff. I would indulge my inner nerd and go back to school for a degree in Library Science.

Geek chic: not your typical wedding congratulations.

A lot of smaller greeting card designers have gigs on the side. Is Dude and Chick your full-time job?
After a couple of years of all-nighters and lots of elbow grease, we triumphantly punched the clock for the last time in June of this year. Now we bask in the glory of full-time bliss at Dude and Chick.
